Role Summary
 
SalubrisBio is seeking a full-time Operation Assistant. The candidate should be highly organized, self-motivated, and have exceptional written and oral communication skills in order to effectively work with external vendors as well as company personnel. The successful candidate will thrive and adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
 
Responsibilities
 
·       Responsible for the ordering, receipt, inventory, storage, and distribution of materials and consumables for laboratory use through established procedures
·       Order and track lab and office supplies and manage stock inventory
·       Ensure the preventive maintenance and repair of instruments and equipment
·       Coordinate with vendors and production planners to schedule incoming receipts.
·       Regularly audit and record equipment inventory and improve current inventory management practices
·       Safely handle oxygen, carbon dioxide, and liquid nitrogen tanks, as well as dry ice.
·       Act as the point of contact for facility operation, including the organization of the lab 
·       Distribute, replace, and retrieve key fobs.
·       Organize company’s mid/year-end events and gifts for employees
·       Under the supervision of the safety officer, maintain the overall lab safety including but not limited to Safety Data Sheet (SDS), quarterly testing of safety shower/eye wash, hazardous waste pickup, monthly auditing of lab space, training (DoT, BBP, annual safety, etc.), safety document management, onboarding of new employees, BFPE (fire system), assisting in reviewing safety plans
·       Collect invoices for credit card transactions
·       Ensure Purchase Orders are created for all invoices posted in Prendio 
·       Other duties as required for business productivity

 
Qualifications
 
·       Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in science preferred
·       Work experience in the Biotec/Pharmaceutical industry is a plus 
·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·       Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
·       Ability to work in teams, addressing requests from multiple clients in an accurate and time-efficient manner
·       Strong organizational skills
·       Superior critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
·       Proficient in Windows Office software, with the ability to use formulas in Excel to analyze and summarize data 
·       Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs
·       Must be able to commute to the Gaithersburg MD office daily
