Role Summary
 
We are seeking a highly motivated full-time Associate Scientist to develop novel biologic therapeutics for the treatment of cancers and cardiovascular diseases. The candidate shall have a strong multi-tasking ability and is expected to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of self-motivation. 
 
Responsibilities
·       Support early drug discovery and characterization efforts using protein characterization, cell-based assays, and other cell/molecular biology methods.
·       Maintain cell culture of primary and immortalized cells.
·       Characterize biological drug molecules utilizing a variety of laboratory methods, such as ELISA, SPR, HPLC, and Flow Cytometry
·       Assist in the design of a variety of lab experiments per program needs.
·       Effectively communicate and present experimental design and results to the supervisor and the project team.
·       Maintain safe and efficient lab operations.
·       Maintain a well-organized and detailed research notebook.

Qualifications
·       BS or MS Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or relevant scientific discipline
·       Lab research knowledge in cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, or related fields.
·       1-3 years laboratory experience
·       Experience in cell culture 
·       Experience in primary immune cell-based assays preferred.
·       Experience in biochemical and biophysical techniques and assays for protein characterization preferred, such as ELISA, HPLC, SPR or Flow Cytometry
·       Undergraduate coursework in immunology and biochemistry is preferred. 
·       A team player who will be comfortable with complexity and ambiguity.
·       Excellent communication and organizational skills.
·       Analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
·       Proficiency with MS Office software, and experience with SoftMax, BD Diva, FlowJo, or an ELN/LIMS system is preferred.
